1. Introduction

AnySubs ("we", "us") is a Stremio addon that provides dual-language subtitles: a real subtitle track paired with a machine-translated second track. This policy explains what data we handle when you use the addon, the website, or an AnySubs account. We keep it short because we collect very little.

We do not sell your data. Ever.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data — if you create an account: your email address and a hashed password. Accounts are optional; the addon works with an anonymous token.
• Usage counts — the number of subtitle requests made with your API key each month, used to enforce plan limits.
• Configuration — your chosen language pair, embedded in the addon URL you install in Stremio.
• Content identifiers — when Stremio requests subtitles we receive the IMDb ID (and season/episode) of the title being watched. These are used to find subtitles and are cached, not tied to a viewing history profile.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment card numbers, device fingerprints, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use analytics trackers or advertising cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie when you log in.

3. How We Use Data

• To serve and translate subtitles for the title you are watching.
• To enforce monthly request quotas for your plan.
• To email you about your account — for example when your quota is exceeded or for billing confirmations. Your email is used only for account and billing purposes, never for marketing lists or third-party offers.

4. Data Storage

Account and usage data are stored in a managed Postgres database. Translated subtitle files are cached for a few hours in a shared cache so repeated requests are fast; cached subtitles contain no personal data. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Data is retained while your account exists; contact us to delete your account and its data.

5. Third-Party Services

• OpenSubtitles — source of the original subtitle files. Subtitle searches (title ID, language) are sent to their API.
• Lemon Squeezy — our payment processor (merchant of record). All payment details are entered on and processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card number. See their privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
• Vercel — hosts the service. Like any web host, their infrastructure processes IP addresses in standard server logs.

Subtitle text is translated using an automated translation service; only the subtitle text itself (no account data) is sent for translation.

6. User Rights

You can, at any time:

• Access the data we hold about you (it is visible in your dashboard).
• Correct or update your email and language settings.
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Use the service without an account at all, with an anonymous token.

If you are in the EU/EEA or a jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, these rights are backed by law (e.g. GDPR) and we will honor requests accordingly.
